Ruby Ray Daily is a doctoral candidate specializing in nineteenth and twentieth-century Britain. Her dissertation, \u201cSex and Violence in Greater Britain: Sexual Sensibilities, Pain and Pleasure in Britain and the Anglo-world, 1840-1960,\u201d explores the changing relationship between sex and violence from the Victorian era to the modern proliferation of sexual identities and subcultures.<\/span><\/div>\n
