Taking place across Birmingham, all films will include post screening discussions with directors, producers, writers, activists and experts. Festival director is my colleague, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.birmingham.ac.uk\/staff\/profiles\/fcw\/aaron-michele.aspx\">Michele Aaron<\/a>, who is Senior Lecturer in Film Studies at the University of Birmingham where her research focuses on the potential of film to affect personal, social and political change.<\/p>\n<p>The Festival has its own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KNKbhNn8PPw\">trailer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KNKbhNn8PPw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/screeningrightsfilmfestival\/\">Facebook<\/a> site.<\/p>\n<p>And is supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/macbirmingham.co.uk\/screening-rights-festival-2016\">Midlands Arts Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theelectric.co.uk\/programme.php?film=1547\">The Electric Cinema<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>See you there!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Screening Rights Film Festival 2016 is almost upon us &#8211; festival passes are on sale and the exciting programme is available!
