<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\nThe Advanced Research Computing (or BEAR) team is looking for a graduate (recently graduated or in final year of study) to grow into a Research Infrastructure Engineer. You will help design, build and support the tools used by some of the world’s leading researchers in fields as diverse as cancer research, new battery technologies and climate science; the kind of things that will make the world a better place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team manages large-scale computing infrastructure, including local and national supercomputing and AI facilities, and over 15 petabytes of storage, as well as private cloud, gitlab, wikis, websites, and databases, supporting a range of world leading research. If you have solid experience working with Linux (in your studies, your job, or somewhere else) and want to get to grips with the tech from the bottom up, then this could be the role and the team for you. You will find us an open and supportive team, committed to sharing knowledge and learning from others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please note that although the closing date is 9th January, we are flexible about the starting date being at any point throughout 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
