This group will connect R Users from different domains, promote the use of the R language and help users to share knowledge, skills and best practices in R programming.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a first step, we are looking for volunteers to help organise the R User Group for the academic year 2023-2024.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Volunteer?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Volunteering with us offers a chance to connect with R Users from across the University, enhance your skills and add to your CV. It&#8217;s also a great way to stay up to date with the latest developments in R!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will the Organising Team do? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the Organising Team, you will help to plan and run R User Group activities e.g. by helping to arrange presenters, moderating discussions or promoting R User Group events to colleagues.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time Commitment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Organising Team will meet monthly to plan activities, requiring approximately 1-3 hours per month of your time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting Involved <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We welcome volunteers from postgraduate research students, academics, and staff from all staff groups.&nbsp;All levels of R expertise (novice \u2013 expert) are welcome.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our first organising team meeting is scheduled for the week beginning Monday 16th  October.
