As part of the same symposium, Paul Sissons (University of Wolverhampton) and Anne Green presented on the topic \u2018Covid-19, job quality and Active Labour Market Policy in the UK\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>On 22nd July, George Bramley and Kelvin Humphreys presented an update to the East Birmingham Community Heat Taskforce on the economic model we have been creating for appraising benefits, costs and options for domestic heating retrofits. The model is being developed in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birmingham.ac.uk\/research\/energy\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham Energy Institute<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>Media engagements<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Hannes Read was interview by the BBC on the 19<sup>th<\/sup> July 2021, about the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.bham.ac.uk\/cityredi\/looking-ahead-the-future-business-district-study-and-the-future-of-the-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">impact of COVID on future business practices and the business district<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>Awards\/ Funding<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>City-REDI and SQW supported the Midlands Industrial Ceramics Group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sqw.co.uk\/about-us\/news\/Advanced-Ceramics-Midlands\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in successfully bidding for \u00a318.27m<\/a> from the UKRI Strength in Places Fund.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Look ahead to the coming months\u2026<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>On the 4th August, WMREDI and partners will be holding a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.bham.ac.uk\/cityredi\/event-launch-of-the-state-of-the-region-4th-august-2021-1400-1530\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launch event<\/a> for the State of the Region 2021 report.
