The report, called &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prospectmagazine.co.uk\/sponsored\/data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Data as Infrastructure<\/a>&#8221; puts together a series of articles and essays on \u201cSmart cities\u201d and how local authorities are beginning to see data as another form of infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Simon and Amir&#8217;s chapter titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prospectmagazine.co.uk\/politics\/smart-city-regions-need-smart-people\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Smart city-regions need smart people<\/a>&#8220;, looks at the growing urbanisation of the world, and the opportunities, as well as the challenges that\u00a0data provides to create &#8216;smart cities&#8217;. Cities that are not only efficient and operational, but that provide creative, innovative and good places to do business.
