What acts to constrain innovation in their businesses, do they struggle to find employees with the right skills and are their businesses embedded into the local region? Find out in our new survey of 300 businesses in the West Midlands. The survey is the first phase of a project looking into differences in regional productivity, with a particular focus on mismatches between the supply of and demand for specific skills. This research focussed on how the Professional and Business Services (PBS) sector can contribute to Local Industrial Strategies and create growth both within the sector and be a driver of growth in other sectors.
