A half-day of talks and workshop activities will be followed by an evening programme consisting of a drinks reception and a dramatic reading.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop activities will illustrate exercises that can be used in the English classroom. We will also showcase the new CLiC corpora that include more A-Level and GCSE texts as well as a children&#8217;s literature corpus. Participants of the CLiC Dickens Day will receive a free copy of the CLiC Activity Book.\u00a0The CLiC Dickens Day is free, but it is essential that you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/clic-dickens-day-tickets-38439208708\">register via Eventbrite<\/a>, as places are limited. The reading will be performed by actor Simon Vaughan and introduced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birmingham.ac.uk\/staff\/profiles\/drama\/radcliffe-caroline.aspx\">Dr Caroline Radcliffe<\/a> from the University of Birmingham\u00a0Department of Drama and Theatre Arts.
