With a cr\u00eape\u2019s shape and colour inspiring thoughts of sunshine and the brighter days ahead, it is only natural for the consumption of such a food to be a significant part of the celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"316\" height=\"160\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.bham.ac.uk\/culturalcalendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/70\/2023\/02\/chandeleur-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2564\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.bham.ac.uk\/culturalcalendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/70\/2023\/02\/chandeleur-1.jpg 316w, https:\/\/blog.bham.ac.uk\/culturalcalendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/70\/2023\/02\/chandeleur-1-300x152.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 316px) 85vw, 316px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>La Chandeleur<\/em>&nbsp;is also a very superstitious day for the French. In order to foresee financial luck, one tradition states you should hold a coin in one hand and flip the cr\u00eape in another.
