It is celebrated each year on the 13<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;or 14<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;April.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond its religious roots, the festival embodies unity, equality and service. It also marks the harvest festival in the Punjab region of India, symbolizing abundance&nbsp;and prosperity. Farmers express gratitude for the harvest through rituals and offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Devotees gather in gurdwaras for prayers, hymns, and langar (community meals).
