Page Breaks: Did Harold Bloom or Toni Morrison Win the “Literary Canon Wars”?

On Wed 10 March 2021, join us for a spirited discussion of how Harold Bloom and Toni Morrison challenged our thinking about what (and how) to read.

“It’s often hard to know when an era begins and ends, but the recent deaths of the novelist Toni Morrison (in August) and the literary scholar Harold Bloom [in October] make a case for putting the era of literary canon wars to rest.”

Texts:

  • Joe Karaganis and
