On Wednesday 19th October at 5:30 BST on Zoom, Charlotte’s presentation will argue that the chick lit protagonists of franchises, like Sex and the City’s And Just Like That (2021) and Bridget Jones’ Mad About the Boy (2013), are not permitted the conventional ‘happily ever after’ so crucial for the romance genre.
