It&#8217;s available through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/stable\/41690852\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/stable\/41690852\">JSTOR<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/birmingham-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/permalink\/f\/19a9mc5\/TN_cdi_proquest_miscellaneous_204835116\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/birmingham-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/permalink\/f\/19a9mc5\/TN_cdi_proquest_miscellaneous_204835116\">FindIt@Bham<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While you&#8217;re reading, it would be great if you could think about the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What do you make of Backstein&#8217;s comments on Twilight&#8217;s genre evolutions? Do you agree? (E.g. horror, romance, fairy tale)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have vampires&#8217; move towards being brooding, Romantic heroes been a good\/bad\/etc. move for culture?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do you agree with Backstein&#8217;s ideas about Twilight (and other vampire fiction)&#8217;s female gaze?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if you don&#8217;t have time to get to the reading, we&#8217;d still love to have you!
