The EPS EdTech and Analytics Group consists of two members: Dr Jonathan Watkins and Dr Richard Mason.
Jonathan Watkins is interested in how to apply technology to education, improving both student and educator experience. He teaches numerical and scientific programming to postgraduates within the Centre for Doctoral Training for Topology. He also teaches the new and upcoming “Digital Artefacts” module on the PGCert for Design For Learning Environments.
Richard Mason is interested in Data Science and how it can be applied to educational data. He teaches the data science course within the Centre for Doctoral Training for Topology, and is developing a new Data Science course within the PGCert for Design For Learning Environments, taking a more “Data science for all” methodology.
