This workshop will be a mix of time for writing or research and work-in-progress/reflection sessions to exchange ideas on any aspect of global communications, digital media, or related topics.
The aim is to offer a collective break from admin and assessment duties and help make connections to develop new (or old!) ideas – for research, writing, funding, public engagement, or any other activity.
When and Where
The event will begin in Old Gym LG11, with a breakout space in LG10. It will run 10am-5pm and you are welcome to come for any part of the day.
Schedule
10:00-10:15 – Welcome, with coffee, tea, and pastries
10:15-10:45 – Introductions: hopes and aims for the day
10:45-12:45 – Writing/research time
12:45-13:00 – Pre-lunch check-in: outcomes from the morning
13:00-14:00 – Lunch (provided)
14:00-15:00 – Work in progress: sharing ideas and exchanging feedback
15:00-16:30 – Writing/research time
16:30-17:00 – Sharing achievements, planning next steps
What to expect
- There is no need to come with a pre-planned topic; you are welcome to use this as time marked out for thinking and planning.
- This event is in-person only.
