New Core: Finance demo and recruitment testing

Colleagues are invited to attend the next New Core ‘Town Hall’ meeting – featuring a demo on Finance, including claiming expenses and requisitioning orders.

Date: Wednesday 11 July
Time: 1-2pm
Location: Lecture Theatre G15, Muirhead Tower

This session will be led by Michael Dean, New Core Finance Workstream Lead. Find out more about what will be included in the demo here.

The short film below also provides a sneak preview of how to raise an expense claim in the new system via a tablet or smartphone. Further details on this and desktop based expense processes will be covered in the meeting:

There will be chance to raise any questions or feedback you may have on New Core at the event, however if you would like to submit a question anonymously ahead of the meeting please add this to your registration email.

All-staff are welcome to attend this event but spaces are limited so registration is essential. To register your attendance please email newcore@contacts.bham.ac.uk including your name and job title.

Recruitment testing – call for volunteers

The Programme Team will be holding a session in September, specifically for colleagues involved in recruitment.

This will be provide an opportunity for staff who currently work as recruitment coordinators for their area to comprehensively test different recruitment scenarios within the new system to ensure that they function as expected and required.

The session will be held on 11 September and will take no longer than three hours; exact timings and venue will be confirmed shortly.

If you are currently involved in recruitment and would like to volunteer to be involved, please email the team at newcore@contacts.bham.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 13 July, providing your name, Job Title, Department, and with the email subject heading ‘Recruitment UAT’.
