Opportunity to join IT support team in Centre for Human Brain Health

The College of Life and Environmental Sciences looking for expressions of interest to join their IT Support Team in the Centre for Human Brain Health for a period of approx. 18 months at .5fte (AR6). A brief summary of just some of the duties is set out below;

  • IT Desktop support for the CHBH:- To help maintain Lab stimulus equipment and Cubicle experiment testing workstations.
  • Tape library Backup support:- To help in assisting in data backup and also setup backup policy’s for the centre.
  • Linux administration:- Assisting in PBIC cluster support and to assist researchers in analysing data.
  • PHP, mysql support to help in supporting the backend PACS and database infrastructure of CHBH computing.
  • Proactive input to design and development of labs and other facilities across the department and their use at all stages.
