We are pleased to announce that following a rigorous tender process that CDW & Lenovo will be supplying the University with client PCs for the foreseeable future.
The contract will see CDW supply Lenovo branded devices which include desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, workstations and all-in-ones from August 2019.
The University will benefit from excellent pricing and the simplicity of having a single brand and single supplier for all Windows client devices.
Lenovo are the world’s largest PC maker and have some innovative products such as the Tiny-in-One PC which slots into the back of a monitor, the super lightweight X1 Carbon laptop, and the unprecedented power of their workstations designed for research.
The number of standard devices has been increased to try to cut down the number of custom devices which allows us to build support and obtain better pricing. These standard devices include:
- Standard Desktop PC
- Standard Research PC
- Standard Laptop
- Standard Executive Laptop
- Standard Research Laptop
- Standard All-in-One
