IT Services in Action: Charities chosen

Published: Posted on

In the last edition of the newsletter, we gave you a choice of charities for IT Services to support in line with the the Birmingham in Action campaign.

Which charities did we vote in?

Voting closed on Wednesday 5 February. We’re pleased to announce that IT Services will be supporting the following three charities:

Acorns Childrens HospiceĀ

The Canal and River TrustĀ

Birmingham Children’s HospitalĀ

What happens next?

We’ll get to work finding out what volunteering opportunities are available with these three charities for our staff, potential dates or times of year, how we register, and all the boring admin stuff.

We’ll update you on this in the newsletter on Thursday 5 March.

I want to help!

If you’re interested in volunteering for one of the above charities, let Lucy Turner know as soon as possible.

If you want to claim your day’s paid leave for volunteering, but not for one of the charities IT Services has chosen, that’s fine – you can still do this. You’ll need to organise it yourself, and request the leave from your line manager in Core Systems.
