Virtual pet show

Published: Posted on

The IT Services virtual pet show takes place on Thursday 23 April. Get preening your pets, ready for them to show their best (or funniest) side!

You asked, we listened

For those of you who don’t have pets, this event wasn’t very inclusive. So we’ve added a class for “Non-traditional pets”. Time to dust off that pet rock you’ve been keeping; or the Tamaogotchi you’ve kept alive since 1996; or perhaps you have a particularly fetching piece of taxidermy you’d like to show off?

How it works

  • Choose which class(es) you wish to enter your pet(s) into.
  • Use this form to enter (open 8.00am-5.00pm on Thursday 23 April)
  • Judging will take place after all entries are in – Mark Gee, CIO, is our judge.
  • The winners will be announced in an upcoming newsletter; keep an eye on ITS Social too as we’ll share the entries once we’ve had them all in.

Classes

Class 1: The Waggiest Tail (dogs only)

Class 2: Grumpiest Cat (cats only… obvs)

Class 3: Most Hilarious Facial Expression (pets of all species)

Class 4: Golden Oldie (pets of all species, in their twilight years)

Class 5: Pet Most Like Its Owner (pets of all species)

Class 6: Best Non-Traditional Pet (your imagination is the only boundary with this one!)

Best in show: Selected from the winners of all six classes, with prizes awarded to Champion and Reserve Champion.

Prizes will be awarded at the next All Staff Briefing, when we’re back on campus.

Rules

  1. One pet per person, per class.
  2. Your entry must be your own pet.
  3. All pets entered must be healthy and happy (exception for grumpy cats).
  4. The judge’s decision is final.
