About us

The Linear Transport Research Group has over the last 50 years built a world-leading centre of excellence in research, education and capacity building in and with low-income countries. Our research and capacity building on the provision of safe, reliable, economic and climate-resilient roads and railways to support the growth of developing economies is almost exclusively internationally focused. With asset management and geotechnical engineering at our core, we are currently leading or playing a leading role, in research projects in the developing world worth over £12.5 million.
