We would also like to take this opportunity to once again thank Dr. Bj\u00f8rgo and Dr. Steve Hewitt, as well as everyone who attended!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Right-Wing Terrorism in Western Europe: Concepts, Patterns and Trends \u2013 Professor Dr. Tore Bj\u00f8rgo\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/po5jofZcVQQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/icct.nl\/people\/dr-tore-bjorgo\/\">Dr. Tore Bj\u00f8rgo<\/a> is professor at the University of Oslo and Director at \u201cCenter for Research on Extremism: Right-Wing Extremism, Hate Crime and Political Violence\u201d (C\u2011REX). He is also Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian Police University College (PHS). Since 2002, he has been coordinator of the Norwegian Consortium for Research on Terrorism and International Crime. The main recurring theme in his extensive research has been violent extremism and terrorism in general, and right-wing extremism in particular, and with a focus on prevention. He is widely recognised as a pioneer in the study of deradicalisation and disengagement from extremist groups. He has also been a member of national and international expert groups, including the European expert group on violent radicalisation, reporting to the EU Commission (2005 \u2013 2008), and an international expert group to inform and review the United Nations\u2019 evolving counter-terrorism strategy (2005).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.birmingham.ac.uk\/staff\/profiles\/history\/hewitt-steve.aspx\">Dr. Steve Hewitt<\/a>\u00a0is a Senior Lecturer in American and Canadian Studies at the Department of History (University of Birmingham).
