On 12 December 2019, 25 of our students graduated from their degrees in Railway Systems Engineering and Integration and in Railway Safety and Control Systems at the University of Birmingham.

After a year of intense hard work for our full-time graduates – and many more for our part-time graduates – the graduation ceremony marked a key celebration highlight the accomplishment of an MSc degree.

Speaking of his time studying at BCRRE, Tanapon Win, now a PhD student at the University of Birmingham, confirms, “With all the hospitality that you all had provided, I am proud to be one of the alumni in the BCRRE family”.

Clifford Leung, who has returned to Hong Kong following his MSc degree, says, “This course is highly recommended. It is tougher that I imagined but it is absolutely worthy for all railway professionals, even for beginners.”

Our graduates now take the next step in their careers, with many returning to work with enhanced knowledge and experience to lead across the industry, and others continuing to doctoral study.

As a renowned programme worldwide, these graduates join a large world-wide cohort of over 500 alumni in railways from the University of Birmingham. Our alumni are based across all corners of the globe from China and Singapore, to Australia, from the United States and Peru, to Denmark, and from Saudi Arabia to the United Kingdom.
