The Lapworth Museum App is a collaboration between the IT Innovation Centre and the Lapworth Museum of Geology at the University of Birmingham. The app was created by 1st year Computer Science student Adedayo Omosanya, winner of the Student Mobile App Competition 2015. [Download Link]
The Lapworth Museum App includes the following features:
- Guided Tours to the Museum: Visitors can follow up to four different routes as part of the guided visit to the Museum.
- Collections: The Lapworth Museum contains in excess of 250,000 specimens, for display purposes these have been grouped in 4 collections. The Lapworth Museum app features samples of selected items in each collection.
- Quiz: Before or after their trip to the museum, visitors can use the Lapworth Museum App to take a quiz to test their knowledge of the Museum.
