After working with Symbiosis partners and colleagues on several events and exhibitions connected to climate change, along with an open letter to COP30 calling for storytelling and the arts to be given a bigger role in tackling climate change, I am delighted to announce that the University of Birmingham has been awarded a grant by the AHRC for a new project building on this initiative. Led from the UK and Türkiye, the host of COP31, ‘Shifting the Narrative’ aims to establish practical guidance for how we can use stories and storytelling to promote understanding of and action on climate change.
