Pop Culture Theory Group (5pm, Wed 7th May)

The next session of Pop Culture Theory Group will take place on Wednesday 7th May, from 5-7pm BST. Thanks to a suggestion from Reuben, we’ll be discussing portrayals of ancient Egypt in science fiction, for which we’ll be reading ‘Do Ancient Egyptians Dream of Electric Sheep?: The Reception of Ancient Egypt in Science Fiction‘ by Eleanor Dobson & Leire Olabarria. It’s taken from a broader issue about the topic, so if this is of interest then it’s worth taking a look at the other articles.

As always, even if you don’t have time to read the piece, please do still pop along – we’ve all got reference points from our personal areas of expertise, and more perspectives always leads to a great discussion.

As always, to grab the info about the room booking or zoom link, email Georgie @ gxr697@student.bham.ac.uk.
