Trains from Birmingham New Street station in the city centre run regularly to our university train station, taking around 7 minutes. Taxis from the city centre to main campus would take around 15-20 minutes dependent on traffic.
The University also has a hotel on campus: Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre. Please contact reservations@edgbastonparkhotel.com or call +44 (0)121 414 8888 for best rates, mentioning that you are attending a conference on campus.
Useful information about the Chamberlain student accommodation
If you have booked the discounted campus accommodation, you may find the below information useful.
- View the accommodation (including a virtual tour)
- Check in time: 4pm
- Check out time: 10am
- Delegates check in at Chamberlain Reception between the hours of 7am-10pm (subject to change dependant on staffing levels / number of delegates), based in Chamberlain Tower lobby.
- Delegates are required to produce identification or confirmation of booking if asked. If delegates have travelled from outside of the UK, they may be required to show passport and fill the Check in form with their onward destination details.
- Delegates will be given their access card at Chamberlain Reception upon Check in. If the desk is not staffed, they will check in at Shackleton Reception in the Shackleton Building (Hub), with contact number +44 (0)121 415 8520.
- Suitcase storage may be available for early arrivals, however this cannot be guaranteed.
