On Sunday 4 July, the Together coalition will lead a national day of thanks and recognition to celebrate the incredible work of our NHS staff, as well as all key workers and others in our communities who have helped us through this challenging year.
5 July 1948 was the day that our pioneering National Health Service came into being, bringing free healthcare to everyone. It has always been treasured but never more so since the Covid pandemic struck affecting everyone’s lives.
This first annual day of thanks is to show our gratitude to all NHS and front-line staff and to remember those who have lost their lives because of this dreadful pandemic.
There will be a series of events involving every aspect of society and raising money for NHS Charities Together and the National Care Association.
