International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th. The day aims to put gender equality at the forefront, as well as celebrating the successes of women.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is to inspire inclusion. This theme emphasises diversity, as well as creating inclusive spaces for all women. One key idea of this theme is the promotion of diversity and inclusion in leadership and decision-making roles.
There are a huge range of events from important female speakers to celebrate International Women’s Day, as well as demonstrations in places from Tokyo to Mexico City.
