Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative celebrated from 17-23 March 2025. Neurodiversity imagines a world where neurological differences, experienced by 15-20% of the population, are accepted and respected like all other human variations. It is an umbrella term to describe alternative thinking styles such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Autism and ADHD.

The initiative was founded by Siena Castellon in 2018 because she wanted to change the perception of learning differences. Through awareness, she aims to focus on the talents and strengths of being neurodivergent, instead of the challenges it brings. Their purpose, as stated on their official website, is to help the world to understand, value and celebrate the talents of neurodiverse minds. Working together with schools, universities, and organisations, the initiative challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. Therefore, through increased acceptance and understanding, education, and celebration, the goal is to create more inclusive and fair cultures that celebrate, rather than discriminate, differences and empower every individual.

To take part this year from 17-23 March 2025, you can register on their website at https://www.neurodiversityweek.com/ .
