After the success of previous Book Swaps, we’re back for more. Come with a book – and leave with a new one!
How it works:
Please bring any book you’d like to swap (something you loved, something that wasn’t for you – anything you’d like). We’ll provide envelopes so you can ‘wrap’ your book, and invite you to write a single ‘hint’ on the outside, to help others make their choices. Then we’ll swap, chat about what we brought and why, and (of course!) enjoy some treats to brighten the start of the week.
All are warmly invited: you don’t need to have joined this group before.
When and Where
- 2pm, Monday 12th Feb
- Arts 250 (Fage Room)
What kind of books?
So far we’ve usually had works of fiction, but any book is welcome! Here’s a sample of some of the books we’ve swapped before:
- Graham Swift, Waterland (1983)
- Min Jin Lee, Pachinko (2017)
- Terry Pratchett, A Blink of the Screen (2012)
- Susan Hill, The Woman in Black (1983)
And many more!
About Page Breaks:
This is an informal weekly reading group within the Department of English Literature. There will be tea, coffee and biscuits and you are very welcome.
