20th February 2024 by

Pop Culture Theory Group (5pm, Wed 28th Feb)

Our next session will be on Wednesday 28th February, from 5-7pm GMT.

Following a suggestion from Reuben, this week we’ll be thinking about the portrayal of Ancient Egypt in heavy metal music, via Leire Olabarria’s chapter ‘”When the land was milk and honey and the land was strong and true”: Edward Said, Ancient Egypt, and Heavy Metal’.

Even if you can’t get to the reading, we’d still love to have you there! For access to the reading, zoom details, and info on the room booking, email Georgie at gxr697@student.bham.ac.uk
