Our next session will be on Wednesday 13th March, from 5-7pm, on the topic of Adaptation Theory!
We’ll be discussing it via Julie Sanders fabulous text Adaptation and Appropriation, specifically its first chapter: ‘What is Adaptation?’ (though I recommend the book as a whole). If you don’t have time to read it we’d still love to have you! While you’re preparing for the session, it would be great if you could think about:
- fidelity in adaptations, and whether it’s necessary
- what makes a “good” or “bad” adaptation of a work
- and some examples of adaptations you’d like to discuss
