Here at EDIT we are busy getting ready for our first colloquium which will take place in April. Most of our guests are now invited and those who are speaking are well on the way to preparing their papers. This will be my first academic conference, which is exciting, and I will also be giving my first paper. This is going to be on Alphonsine attitudes to language and I am spending my days building a database ready to be analysed! Marine and Christian are also going to be speaking about topics related to their own theses, and the three of us will also be discussing palaeographical and transcription issues we have come across since we started on the project. There is also going to be a meal for colloquium team members, the advisory board and our guests. All work and no play and all that. Suffice to say I think we are all looking forward to it, and it will be a milestone for our project.
