It was a pleasure to join Prof Barry Drust and Dr Liam Anderson recently at the Premier League for the day. The day launched a new initiative for the Premier League to support Academy practitioners in achieving their BASES accreditation.
This is the first cohort embarking on a bespoke route of BASES supported direct application, which we have been working hard on over the last year with Dr Gill Myburgh and Dr Matt Green of the Premier League.
The pathway seeks to help those with sufficient experience for direct application who need an element of advising throughout the process, while also juggling their applied roles. It was a fantastic day getting to know the intake as well as learning of the Premier League’s aspirations for the project moving forwards.
More broadly, the invitation to be involved in the planning and execution of this initiative for GSSPP staff is a real honour and further expands the group’s network through the individuals we will be working alongside during the process
