In February, the Project Office held the first Project Forum event of 2017, which focused on project start-up, with guest speaker Pauline Harrison, Head of Categories for Scientific Supplies and Professional Services. The event took place in the Nuffield Learning Suite located on campus, and was well attended by staff from across the University.
During the event, Pauline took staff on a journey through the procurement project process, highlighting the many different routes available. This offered a simple approach to a complicated subject — regulations around public sector procurement.
Alongside this the Project Office team also took part, presenting on project start-up, planning and stakeholder analysis, while actively involving staff in various project management activities.
Project forums are a sure-fire way to develop your project management skills, share best practice, and allow you plenty of time to network with colleagues.
Sound interesting? The project forums are open to all University staff so please feel free to book your place at the next project forum, due to take place on Thursday 15 June.
