The first Lunch and Learn session launched on 30 August, with several sessions taking place since then. The scheme is proving to be a great success – we’ve had some really positive feedback! Lunch and Learns are an ongoing enterprise, with several sessions booked for the rest of 2017 and lots more in planning.
What happens in a Lunch and Learn?
The sessions generally start with a presentation, with the opportunity for questions and discussion during and afterwards. You should bring your lunch with you – it is perfectly acceptable to eat it during the session. There is free tea and coffee provided, or you can bring your own drinks.
If you’re very lucky, your presenter might bring treats, such as Krispy Kreme donuts – shh, you didn’t hear it here!
What’s been covered so far?
We’ve had sessions on Service Release Management, Application Catalogue Management and Google Analytics so far. You can see what else is coming up in our schedule below.
How to get involved
This is a great opportunity to test your presentation skills on some friendly faces – you could even use it as part of your Personal Development Review. Email Jane Hicks, IT Services Receptionist, with details of the topic you’d like to volunteer to talk about.
Alternatively – is there an IT topic that you’d like to learn more about? Email Jane with your ideas.
