Today on the MDS Outreach blog we have a post from Atousa Khiabany, a member Birmingham Widening Access to the Medical Sciences (BWAMS).
Hi, my name is Atousa and I’m a first year Graduate Entry Medicine student at the University of Birmingham.
When I was making my application to study medicine, it was the advice and experience from my friends who were already medical students that really helped me and pushed me through. For that reason, I set up the We Are Medics YouTube channel to share lots of student voices and help all of the students who need information, advice or just someone to tell them to ‘just keep going!’.
For the past 4 years I have been running my own personal YouTube channel, covering content from medicine, science, research and university life. It has been a pleasure to apply some of the things I’ve learnt to our We Are Medics channel and work as part of BWAMS to help as many students as we can.
