This week, we’ll think about the material qualities of literary production, responding to a photo essay detailing the steps of producing a print book.
Our reading for this week reflects on the increasingly complex relationship between leisure and work.
Our next monthly Research Day is on Friday 25th February. This is an opportunity to work on your own research, while knowing that others are working at the same time. We’ll have periodic zoom calls to set and reflect on goals, and an afternoon session to share new ideas and any aspect of your research.
For our first Page Breaks session of the new year, we’ll consider an aspect of book publishing we all encounter as readers: the author photo. Join us to discuss the triumphs and troubles of choosing a public image, and to reflect on equivalents in other areas of academia.
