Activity for the University’s HR, Finance and Payroll system is progressing quickly, with upcoming work including a focus on testing, planning and processes.
The New Core team will be inputting data into the secure test site over the next few months, writing scenarios to help ensure that the functionality is as robust as possible for staff to use when the new system launches. This extensive testing will also help to ensure that, when the system goes live, records in the new system are accurate and correct for all staff.
The team are also mapping the many processes and tasks that colleagues will be able to complete within the system – from requesting annual leave to managing budgets and much more. These will help to shape the tailored training that will be available for all staff ahead of system launch.
There will be regular New Core updates via Buzz Bitesize, departmental newsletters, the Champion network and across the Programme’s intranet pages, and staff events.
