Have you completed the University’s online GDPR training?

The new EU data protection framework has now been adopted. It takes the form of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 came into force from 25 May 2018. The new Data Protection Law provides enhanced rights for individuals and imposes greater obligations on data controllers in relation to its governance, record-keeping, privacy notices and organisational and technical measures.

How do I make sure that I’m up to date with the new regulations?

How to access the course in Canvas

You will need to log in using your University login details; click the ‘enroll to this course’ button on the right. Once you are enrolled, you are ready to proceed to the course. The training course should not take longer than 30 minutes; to pass it, you should score at least 80% on the final quiz. Once you have completed the course, you can print the certificate as a proof of completion.
