You may be aware that the BEAR team runs Software Carpentry courses on Python, MATLAB and R with the assistance of a number of trained instructors from across the University.
We’d like to encourage more people to get involved as course helpers. You don’t need to be trained in the software, but you should have an interest and some experience in using it – enough to show someone else how to do simple tasks from instructions provided.
Each course also covers Git and bash. Courses run over 2 days, but if you can spare even half a day, that would be great.
You can find more info on BEAR Carpentries here.
