The University has launched a new Canvas course to support hiring managers and interview panel members with recruitment and selection.
The University is committed to building a diverse workforce, and key to this is ensuring our recruitment practices are fair, consistent, inclusive and free of bias.
The training course includes information on:
- the principles of diverse recruitment;
- the recruitment cycle;
- the interview process;
- post-recruitment actions to help ensure a smooth induction process for new members of staff.
This training course is mandatory for all hiring managers and interview panel members.
Staff who have already undertaken face-to-face recruitment and selection training will also need to complete the course before taking part in any further recruitment or selection processes. The course will then need to be retaken every two years to ensure all recruitment activity adheres to best practice.
