IMSR researchers may be interested in the following opportunity…
The In2scienceUK programme inspires disadvantaged Year 12 students to pursue careers in STEM. With the help of enthusiastic volunteers, they deliver online research modules, skills and careers workshops and one-day work shadowing alongside mentoring sessions. By supporting underrepresented students to pursue STEM, In2scienceUK ensures its future is in the best hands. UoB are teaming up with In2scienceUK for a second year to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds embarking on careers in science, technology, engineering or maths and improve diversity in the sector. They are looking for STEM researchers or PhD students with an interest in public engagement or teaching to act as mentors. Training and support is provided.
On Thursday 15th April at 16:00 There will be a short presentation followed by an open Q&A and we welcome attendees from across all STEM fields (inclusive of psychology, sociology, business, and economics). Whether you’ve already applied or just want to find out more, we look forward to seeing you there!
