Technical Academy launch event – Wednesday 29 November

Join us at the launch of the University of Birmingham’s Technical Academy to find out what it means for you and how you can be involved.

The Technical Academy is a dedicated platform for all our technical staff, to deliver the skills and career development essential to supporting the Birmingham Technician both today and in the future. It aims to recognise and value the integral contribution that technical staff make to the achievements of the University.

Speakers include:

  • Professor Sir David Eastwood, Vice-Chancellor, University of Birmingham
  • Professor Tim Softley, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Transfer, University of Birmingham
  • Helen Sharman OBE, Britain’s first astronaut and currently Operations Manager for the Chemistry department at Imperial College London

Kelly Vere, Higher Education Engagement Manager at the Science Council

Who can attend?
All staff in technical roles are warmly invited. Lunch will be provided and registration is required for catering purposes – register your place here.
