JuliaSIG repository

Published: Posted on

Dr Vincenzo Brachetta, Chair of the Julia Special Interest Group (SIG), describes below the creation of a repository to share educational resources related to the Julia programming language.

Following the establishment of the Julia Programming Language Special Interest Group, which was created with the aim of supporting the growing community of Julia users and enabling researchers to benefit from this innovative programming language, a dedicated repository has been made available to share educational resources.

This pedagogical repository provides examples to support both the learning of the Julia language and the activities of the Special Interest Group at the University of Birmingham. It may also be of interest to researchers or other individuals wishing to familiarise themselves with Julia and apply it within their own work. The repository is organised into folders reflecting ascending levels of programming proficiency and includes examples of data visualisation.

Maintained by Dr Vincenzo Brachetta, the repository is currently hosted on the BEAR GitLab Enterprise services, which stores the data on site at the University of Birmingham, and is mirrored on his personal GitLab and GitHub accounts, ensuring synchronisation across the three platforms.

Licensed under the MIT No Attribution licence, the repository resources can be freely reused, modified, and redistributed without restriction. Contributions in the form of new examples are warmly welcomed.
