October 2025 marks a significant milestone for City-REDI – our 10th anniversary!
Professor Rebecca Riley and Professor Anne Green, Co-Directors of City-REDI reflect on the past decade and call for your memories.
Over the past decade we have grown from a bold idea into a thriving research institute, dedicated to understanding and shaping inclusive, sustainable regional economic development. As we celebrate this journey, we want to invite you – our partners, collaborators, and friends – to be part of the story as we celebrate over the coming months.
City-REDI has always been about collaboration. Whether through joint research projects, policy engagement, knowledge exchange, or community partnerships, our work has been enriched by the diverse voices and expertise of those we have worked with. As we reflect on the past ten years, we want to shine a light on the people and partnerships who have made our work meaningful and impactful.
We’re invite you to share your experiences of working with City-REDI. What moments stand out for you? What projects made a difference? What have we learned together? Whether you have been involved in shaping policy, co-producing research, attending events, or simply engaging with our work, your insights are a vital part of our story.
This is more than a celebration – it is an opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved, why it matters and what impact and changes we have made. In a time of rapid change and complex challenges, celebrating success is not just about looking back; it is also about building momentum. It reminds us of what is possible when we work together across sectors, disciplines, and communities. It helps us recognise the value of evidence-based policy, inclusive growth, and place-based thinking. And it inspires us to keep pushing forward.
We know that the work we do is only as strong as the relationships we build. That is why this 10th anniversary is a moment to reconnect, re-energise and recommit to our shared mission. We will be hosting a series of events, reflections, and stories over the coming months – and we would love for you to be part of it.
Whether you want to write a short blog, share a quote or memory, contribute to a panel, or simply join us in celebrating, there is a place for you in this conversation. Your voice matters, and your experience helps shape the future of City-REDI.
Let’s celebrate the power of collaboration. Let’s honour the work we have done together. And let’s look ahead to the next chapter – with curiosity, ambition, and a shared commitment to making places better for people.
To get involved, please reach out to us at via Linkedin or Email.
We look forward to hearing from you.
