- On 20th January, Rebecca Riley presented at the Y-PERN inaugural conference. Rebecca gave a keynote speech and hosted panel session on the Treasury Green Book.
- On 24th January, Rebecca Riley presented at the ONS Local Data Conference “Supporting local policy making – how ONS’s statistics help us better understand geographical disparities” held at Birmingham City Council.
- On 26th January, Rebecca Riley presented at the Birmingham Data Charter Workshop – hosting a partner session for Birmingham City Council.
- On 26th January, Rebecca Riley chaired the Green Book Network Steering Group meeting.
- On 31st January, Professor Simon Collinson presented at the Blavatnik School, Oxford University (POGO club) event “How can we release the potential of public procurement to stimulate innovation & drive growth?”.

- Productivity in the West Midlands – new WMREDI report by Melisa Wickham.
- Social Prescribing for Young People in the West Midlands: The Potential Impact on Employment and the Economy – new WMREDI report by Dr Joanne Mills, Francesca Hutchin, and Dr Rachel Hopley.
- City-REDI’s work with CIPFA “Addressing Regional Inequalities” and also our work with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation “How do cities lead an inclusive growth agenda?” was featured in the recently released report from IPPR North – The State of the North 2023.
- Charlotte Hoole co-authored a paper called “A place-based system? Regional policy levers and the UK’s productivity challenge”.
- Sara Hassan contributed a chapter to a book called “Engaged Urban Pedagogy: Participatory practices in planning and place-making”. The chapter is called “Co-production and the pedagogy of exchange: lessons from community research training in Birmingham” and was co-authored by City-REDI Associate Liam O’Farrell. It will be published in June.
