City REDI is hosting fringe events at the Labour and Conservative party conferences this autumn, called “Devo Question Time: Connectivity and Growth”.
The events, being organised by Devo Connect, focus on transport and connectivity, which have become vital issues where Metro Mayors can have a real impact on the economic growth of their cities. With a panel format, the event asks the question – Can devolution deliver transport that creates economic growth and connects regions around the UK?
The Labour Party Conference fringe event is being held on the 26 September 2017, 18:00 – 19:30 at the Hilton Brighton Metropole and features:
- Steve Rotheram, Mayor of Liverpool City Region
- Jim McMahon MP, Shadow Minister for Local Government and Devolution
- Sir John Peace, Chairman, Midlands Connect
- Cllr Judith Blake, Council Leader, Leeds City Council
