George Bramley, Samantha Lithgow, Juliane Schwarz and Freya Williams have released a report called “Directory of University Business Support Interventions” which provides an overview of business support interventions in the West Midlands where a university is the primary or a significant partner in the delivery of support.
Dr Abigail Taylor participated in a roundtable in Westminster on ‘The Levelling Up White Paper and ‘left behind’ neighbourhoods’ organised by the Centre for Inequality and Levelling Up at the University of West of London and hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for ‘Left Behind’ Neighbourhoods. The roundtable was attended by policy experts, academics, and politicians.

Hannes Read will present two papers at the Forum for Global Challenges on 3rd May. The first is around the role of virtual internships in the Future of Education strand. The second paper looks into the future of the business district in the Future of Cities sessions.
Hannes Read is leading a round table discussion on evaluating the impact of student knowledge exchange at the Shaping the future of Student Engagement in Knowledge Exchange Conference at the University of Plymouth on 12th May.
Hannes Read is launching a Student Knowledge Exchange Impact Toolkit at the Student Knowledge Exchange and Community Engaged Learning Symposium at The Exchange, University of Birmingham on 26th May to better inform evaluations of knowledge exchange activities.
Dr Abigail Taylor will present at The Forum for Global Challenges 2022 in the Future of Cities strand. Based on recent research conducted in partnership with CIPFA, the paper will identify lessons from four global city-regions for levelling up.
